After a first year of blood, sweat and tears just to get something off the ground after the final collapse of their Museumsplatz tent the organizers of Bonn’s Open Air Season have pulled out all the stops to put Bonn back on the International Musical Map.
Kunst!Rasen 2013 is set to prove that Music is Fine down by the Rhine next year.
Bap frontman Wolfgang Niedecken in the audience, Bonn Lord Mayor Jürgen Nympsch in the VIP tent. A small field next to a duckpond and just a literal stones throw away from Father Rhine was THE place to be on Friday evening as Brooklyn’s original street rapper Lou Reed headlined the first ever concert at Kunst!Rasen.

29 June is start date for Bonn’s new Open-Air venue the Kunst!Rasen.
As our pictures show, things are taking shape down by the Rhine as technicians and stage builders set up the new venue for Lou Reed, Zaz, Bob Dylan and co.
The Concert list for this years Kunst!Rasen Open Air Festival is now complete.
Described on their website as a ‘German Cultural Institution’ CULCHA CANDELA have sold over 2 million records and proved a popular act when they last played in Bonn. They will be back here on 20 July.
