Every year since 2012 the open-air site in Bonn-Gronau, right on the riverbank near the Posttower, turns into one of the region’s biggest stages — and the 2026 season is no different, stacked with names spanning pop, rock, schlager, and everything in between.

Good news for lovers of Germany’s famed ‘Fifth Season’ – Carneval has not been completely cancelled. Despite Corona, BonnLive is set to bring a bit of ‘Jeck’ to Cologne and Bonn in the coming weeks. From 29 January to 16 February a strong line-up of popular musicians will be just a car-ride away. Concerts will be held on the parking lot of the popular Südstadion in Cologne and on the old Miesen grounds in Dottendorf, featured bands include KASALLA, BRINGS, BLÄCK FÖÖSS and HÖHNER.
Drummer Christian Blüm very wisely took a bicycle ride to the opening gig of Kunstrasen 2013. Following fears that the open air field would actually become an open air lake we had a glorious day of sunshine, and there was only one dinghy sailing across the Rheinaue Field. It contained Peter, one half of the brothers that made up this seasons openers Brings, and the ‘sea’ was one of hands. Thousands of them in fact as The KunstRasen Open Air Season 2013 got underway.

As previously reported, Bonn’s new Open Air venue Kunst!Rasen has been given the go ahead for events in 2013 from June to September.
The first concert has now been announced for next year: Popular German Band Brings are set to appear on 7 June 2013. Note: Front of Stage tickets are available from Bonn Ticket and General Anzeiger until 10.09.12 9am.
