Good news for Jazz lovers. Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 JazzTube festival in Bonn’s underground stations. The organizers are looking for bands ranging from duos to sextets and styles ranging from traditional to mainstream, bebop to contemporary jazz. Blues, soul, Latin and funk elements are also welcome.
As always, the event is sponsored and financially supported by Stadtwerke Bonn. The plan is to have jazz bands perform in concert on the so-called B-level at three selected underground stations in the Bonn city area.
The bands will play three staggered sets lasting 30 minutes per set to allow for audience rotation.
In order to keep the volume level comfortable for the audience, the musicians should play ‘unplugged’ without amplification as far as possible. Electric pianos, guitars, bass and vocals can of course be electronically amplified and a power connection will be available. The musicians must bring their own technical equipment. In general, an appropriate volume level should be ensured.
All venues are of course covered and independent of the weather!
In order to be able to present the audience with a programme that is as varied as possible, organizers would like to include as many musical styles as possible in the concert programme.
In addition, the audience and fans will have the opportunity to vote for the individual bands via SMS for the duration of the event series.
The three bands that receive the most positive ratings will then perform a final concert at the Pantheon-Theater Bonn on Monday, 28 October 2024.
The performances will be honoured with a fee of the same amount for each musician/band. For more information, please contact us personally.
