Another evening to look forward to in Bonn this year – Deichkind will play on Saturday 27.08.22 on the Hofgartenwiese. It should be a colourful and visual delight, as you can see from the pictures showing their last appearance here in 2013 at Kunst!Rasen.

Initially a German Rap band, Deichkind went on to become “a conceptual artistic project in the guise of a pop band,” said Henning Besser, the band’s creative director, in a ZEIT Online podcast. The Hamburg-based creative collective remains exciting even after 25 years of band history.
Deichkind concerts combine punk ballet, political performance and proll disco.
They are also commonly referred to as Deichkind Festivals. No question – Deichkind are at the forefront where eccentricity meets music in Germany.
