There are still a few places left in the hall for the Cynthia Nickshas & Friends benefit concert for Ukraine on Saturday (19 March, 8 pm) at Junity in Friedberg. No panic if you can’t make it to Friedberg though as Cynthia and Wild im Wald will be streaming the concert live on YouTube.
Each will play a one-hour set to collect donations for the association Blau – Gelbes Kreuz e.V., which has been sending relief supplies and donations to the war-affected areas of Ukraine since 2014.
To quote the wonderful Cynthia “We are happy about every cent of donation and hope to play for as many people as possible in the stream and live in the location!
Spread some love”
Cynthia Nickschas & Friends: Cynthia’s songs are characteristic of the best traditions of morally conscious singer-songwriters In her music, Cynthia opposes injustice, greed, equanimity and pressure to perform, but also celebrates the beautiful side of life with messages of hope. Anyone who has seen her will know this lady cannot be easily musically pigeonholed, which can also be said of her band of friends – whose every member is an integral part of Cynthia’s unique and incomparable style.
The duo “Wild im Wald” – consisting of Nicky (vocals and guitar) and Alwin (violin and piano) – create their own acoustic interpretations of (more or less well-known) pieces from the genres of folk, pop and disco. United in their love of music and with dedication, the two understand perfectly how to unite their respective musical individuality together to create a very special listening experience. During the livestream, the two will perform a selection of (inter)national anti-war songs.
