Local Pop/Rock and Neue Deutsche Welle cover band Winterfeld have announced they are splitting up. Their ten years together have brought many enjoyable gigs to Bonn. I remember with particular fondness people dancing in the water in front of Bad Godesberg’s Trinkpavillion last June (below) and the Poppelsdorfer Streetfestival in 2019 (above)

Guitarist Jens cites individual musical and personal aspirations within the band as making a continuation of Winterfeld impossible. It was, finally, a mutual decision and the quartet are parting very much as friends. Hopefully, there will be some off-spring of the band to enjoy in future. Certainly their happy and positive attitudes brought similarly happy and positive attitudes to the audiences and that’s something we are all in need of these days.
