Friday’s (3 March) special guests at Folk Club Bonn will be Klezmer specialists Tangoyim. With vocals, violin, accordion and clarinet the duo of Stefanie Hölzle und Daniel Marsch take listeners on a journey through Jewish music, from the sunken world of the Eastern European shtetl to 1920s America. They are also inclined to accompany the individual songs with information about the religious Jewish traditions in old Eastern Europe as well as among the families who emigrated to the United States. Start at 7 pm. So if you like your music with a fascinating history, As always, my advice is ‘Get to Dotty’s in Dottendorf early’ The evening’s theme is ‘Stormy Weather’ so bring a raincoat too just in case!
